8" (20cm) of storm snow at the valley floor (9,250'), 10" (25cm) at 10,500'. 0.6" (15mm) of water measured at the valley floor. Storm snow sits upon a touchy crust/facet interface (January 7th) on sunny slopes, and upon weak fist-hard facets on shady slopes. Dozens of loose avalanches observed on slopes in the 40+ degree range on N-E-SE aspects.
