Cool and breezy, partly cloudy skies. Very nice day.
Snowpack
Cold overnight temperatures locked up surface layers and shut down avalanche activity. A 2-3 cm crust formed on S, E and W aspects. Winds were light on the road, but brisk at ridgetop, loading easterly aspects in the alpine. Light wind-loading was happening at treeline as well, but it was pretty isolated and haphazard with the gusty and variable winds.
