Weather

Obscured skies with a few breaks of sun during the late afternoon hours. Very cold temperatures. Ridge top winds were strong out of the north and northwest.

Snowpack

Snowpack on southerly aspects below treeline consisted of almost entirely new snow from the last 10 days. A very thin melt freeze crust on the ground was the only older snowpack layer. Average HS on these aspects was about 70 cm. Other than a few new wind slabs near the ridge top, the snowpack on southerly aspects contained all fist hard snow.
