Time: 1300 Location: Lake Haiyaha Aspect: NE Elevation: 10600 feet Snow depth exceeded 240cm (probe length) Dug pit to 100cm Performed two compression tests and found reactive near-surface facets buried @ 20cm (CTE and CTN) Then performed extended column test and observed a fracture which did not propagate (ECTN 5) Saw obvious wind slab formation on many leeward aspects
