Weather

Mild temperature and calm. There were a few sunny patches here and there toward the end of my tour but none traversed directly over me. A dusting of new snow. Light bursts of heavily rimed snow off and on in the earlier hours.

Snowpack

Near treeline: 50-70cm snowpack. Consisted of various sizes of rounding facets with a stiff (but inconsistent) wind slab at the surface depending on exposure. The (11/22) interface is hard to trigger and showed no signs of propagation. There was no October basal weak layer observed in my location.
