Weather
Wind speeds were consistent. Gusts varied in strength. Mostly clear sky with a few high random clouds moving over. Temperature felt warmer than measured.
Snowpack
Generally speaking, I found the snowpack to be mostly right side up. This is changing with mild temps. Solar aspects becoming moist near and below tree line and will form a surface crust. Buried crust with faceting above and below can be found in the lower third of the snowpack. This layer will be a concern as more weight stresses this weak layer. This weekend? Signs of instability included visuals of previous loose snow and soft slab activity, some mild collapses and limited cracking on ridgelines.
