Weather
Overnight low temperatures and cloud cover would have indicated a weak freeze. Au contrair. Surface freeze 3+ inches thick.
Snowpack
Solid over night freeze, extent of which surprised me a bit. (Mild overnight low temps, cloud cover) Minor concerns for newer snow sheeting off old hard smooth snow surface if it gets hot enough. Afternoon clouds last several days and coolish west winds keeping high elevation snowpack in a steady state. West aspects however do show less snow than one week earlier.
Avalanche
One small Wet Loose natural (R1D1) out of a steep gully feature with cornice over it.
