Weather

Thick clouds capping peak down to about 11K. Broke early afternoon. Intermittant scattered clouds and sun, with snow showers and virga mid afternoon. Winds gusty, northerly in bowl, but westerly at summit ridgeline. Nothing like earlier in the week.

Snowpack

Classic spring snowpack. Lots of changes in surface conditions w changes in aspect and elevation. Some funny colored snow that looks like it contains just a little of the 4-letter d word.
