Weather
Clear and calm morning near and below treeline. Could see gusty winds in the alpine with light to moderate snow transport onto east and northeast slopes. Evidence of the last few days of warm weather could be observed in melted-out road cut banks and melt-freeze crusts on south facing banks that still held snow. Snow cover extends down the pass to Quarry view which has sparse snow cover. Syncline hill is bare with the exception of the few sheltered and treed areas.
Snowpack
Snowstake shows a base of 12 inches. Snowcover varied from 10-60cm deep through tour. Lee ridge tops were scoured with minor loading observed on north to east slopes indicating prior moderate wind transport. Small surface hoar (1-3mm) observed north to east slopes near treeline.
