Weather

Quite the temperature difference from 36 deg. at Keystone (9200ft) to 15 deg. at A-Basin summit (12,500ft). Light wind BTL. Moderate south wind at ridgetop. Not much wind-loading at ridgetop but down slope east and northeast aspects light wind-loading.

Snowpack

Nothing much new that hasn't already been said. BTL a little more of a slab over top of 20cms of basal facets. This is probably due to larger amount of recent storm snow in this area. Facets near ground have developed to depth hoar. Still not enough coverage to overcome terrain irregularities but getting closer.

Avalanche

A few old slides noted. One east facing ATL, Independence Mtn, 12,400ft, D2. East facing, ATL, Morgan Peak, 12,400ft, D2, crown filled in, debris visible. Estimate from around 11/21/15.
