Cooler than we have seen in a while. Breezy in the morning but winds had died by the time I got to the bowl around 11 AM.
Snowpack
Dust on crust. Last night's snow was not bonding well to the old snow surface. Around a foot of snow had blown into the top of the bowl on the NE facing side, other areas had 3-6". Marginal riding and slide-for-life conditions did not keep the die-hards out of the backcountry, and both Maroon Bowl and the Five Fingers had several tracks in them. These skiers were triggering small sluffs that were not running far. Otherwise, no avalanche activity observed.
