Snowpack

The snowpack was moist top to bottom except for a layer of well developed near-surface faceted crystals under a melt freeze crust about 30 cm from the surface. Flow channels were present through the near-surface faceted layer. The basal part of the snowpack was fist hard moist rounded crystals.
