40F and overcast skies. Gusty south winds blowing snow up high.

Snowpack

Base stake reading 10 inches. Master stake A,B and C reading 12,0 and 16 respectively. Base has dropped 14 inches in 5 days (last reading was directly after storm) however, still a significant drop in snow base. Although we saw only 4 hours below freezing overnight, snow surface was firm and supportive to boots (boot pen=5cm). Below surface, snow was dry. Switchback 1,2 and 3 have very sparse snow cover, as you move east along the chutes the northwest facing chutes still hold snow. All south and east facing paths between Battle Mtn and Redcliff are bare of snow.
