Snowpack

South facing snow had approx 8in thick frozen crust in AM with wet snow below at all elevations. By 10 boot pen at and above treeline was a few cm. Excellent cramponing. By 12:30pm boot pen in south facing snow above treeline was reaching the wet snow and we moved onto talus. NW aspect above treeline still held dry snow below a approx 2cm melt/freeze crust. Snow on south aspect below treeline unsupportive to skis after 2pm.
