Avalanche

Snowboarder triggered a small slide halfway down the face and was carried and partially buried. The slide was on a NE aspect at 12,000 feet, ~12" crown on surface hoar layer buried last week. The snowboarder was carried 200 vertical feet and stopped in a seated position with his head, board and an arm free. He yelled up that he was ok, dug himself out and rode to a safe location.
