Clear and cool with a light breeze. Very nice day.

Snowpack

The snowpack consists of various layers of facets- near-surface facets, depth hoar, and old, rotting wind slabs. Drifts and sastrugi from strong northerly and southerly winds are all over the top of the pass. Coverage and depth is highly variable, especially on the south side, where melting has played a role.
