Beautiful ? Marginal ❄

The skiing was pretty terrible but the spring sunshine and views certainly made up for it! We saw no signs of avalanches or instability in the snowpack which gave us confidence to ski a steep committing northwest facing line. Unfortunately there was less powder than we had hoped for but it still made for a fun day. Skinning back up required ski crampons as the snow was pretty hard and crusty in spots. The skiing likely would have been better on a southwest facing slope where the warm sun had softened up the snowpack.
