Skied up Whymper N route with ~20 other people on Sunday. Surprisingly cold (~-15/20C with wind-chill at the col). Trace convective snow over the day (<3cm), little wind. Horrible crust below 2400m, decent light cold snow above 2400m on steep north aspect (mid boot penetration over a supportive crust). No signs of instabilities. Overall good day out.
