Quick report

Weather
foggy, sunny
Riding Quality
OK
Snow Conditions
powder

Nice afternoon walk with our skis on (didn’t really count as skiing due to shallow and unconsolidated snowpack :-). Significant surface hoar everywhere. 70cm snowpack (HS = 70) at 2150m: 25cm of light (“fist”) facetted snow on 10cm fragile crust ‘sandwich’ over 35cm to ground. Calm to light SW wind, no evidence of snow transport except at ridgeline. -8 warming to -5 through the afternoon. Valley fog in and out. Lots of rime at ridgetop.
