Weather
Clear skies transition to partly cloudy with high cirrus clouds moving in. Winds out of the north-northwest ranged from the single digits, gusting into the twenties. Temperatures started in the mid-twenties, maxing out in the mid-thirties.
Snowpack
Snow depths varied dramatically across most slopes. Deeper areas were 110 cm plus. Wind-affected snow was the visual theme ATL on most aspects. Multi-directional wind has scoured the high points, redistributing the snow into gullies and low-lying areas. A thin windskin would crack around our skies as we traveled, but an absence of windslab was curious and noted. Once BTL and on sunny slopes, the snow was beginning to warm and become moist. At the location where we gathered our data, the snow height was 103 cm.
