Weather
Really nice day above 10,000 feet. Temp warmed into the high teens under clear skies. Winds were calm all day no snow was moving at the ridge tops.
Snowpack
Snowpack is slowly trying to gain strength in the deeper part of the Front Range zone. The mid pack slab is 1 finger to pencil hard. You can actually stand on the snow surface without falling the whole way to the ground. There are still many thin areas and the slab is now well connected, so if you find a weak spot where the buried weak layers are closer to the surface you will trigger a large wide avalanche. Deeper areas are around 150cm, but many places where there is still rock showing.
