Weather
Mostly clear with high thin clouds, warming temps throughout the day. Very calm, little to no wind during the day but evidence of wind loading cross loading on north to east facing slopes.
Snowpack
We also got a loud whumpf and slope collapse on the exit of marble bowl proper- WNW facing slope about 15-20degrees, at around 9500-9600ft.
Avalanche
We skied low angle terrain into the raspberry creek drainage and skinned out. As we were skinning back along the ridge toward the top of marble bowl I heard a muffled whumpf and my partner noticed the avalanches triggered in raspberry bowl. We’re not sure if they were natural releases or remote triggered (there was a party of two who skied the same low angle line before us, and their tracks went farther down the drainage than ours). Perhaps they remote triggered slides on their skin back up? We could hear them talking below us when we were looking back from the ridge, but didn’t have visuals. At any rate, multiple slab avalanches, sympathetic releases just below the ridge line and in raspberry bowl proper. North to east facing slopes. ~11,300-11,900ft elevation. Maybe D2 in size? Appeared to slide to the ground on a few. See pics for reference and feel free to contact me with any other questions.
