Snowpack

I visited the area on 1/25 and saw the entire North Chutes of Russel, Current Creek Bench, Current Creek Bowl area covered with fresh, undisturbed snow. Today, 1/29, most of these areas had been scoured of the new snow that was observed on 1/25. There were significant portions well below the ridge line that were scoured so much that the ground was visible.

Avalanche

There are what appear to be two separate slides in the middle of the Current Creek Bowl. I couldn't not make out any breaks in the cornices or even crown lines up top, but the debris piles were unmistakable. East Aspect Above Treeline About 12,000 elevation R1.5 D2 ?
