Balmy. Minimal if any overnight freeze had upper snow layers getting saturated on northerly aspects by noon up to about 10000ft. Light SW winds at ridge top didn't really diminish the temps.
Snowpack
Dug a few pits on NW aspect around 10200ft. Still saw evidence of persistent slab problem. CTM x2 and ECTP23 on a near surface facet layer 25-30cm down. CTH down 80cms on basal facets. Basal facets are still angular and aren't bonding well on northerly aspects at treeline elevation in north Routt. Small shallow loose wet slides moved easily on steep rollers.
Avalanche
A few D1 natural wet loose slides below treeline in west facing creek banks. Ran 4/1 or early 4/2. Just entrained the top 3-4" of snow.
