Avalanche

2 new avalanches at St. Mary’s Glacier. 11,000ft Near Tree Line-Above Tree Line Avalanche 1: EAST ASPECT. same avalanche path as March 16, that has buried and killed before. Broke beneath the cornice. Enough snow for a shallow burial. Slid naturally. Avalanche 2: SOUTH ASPECT. This is a new spot for me. Lookers right while ascending the glacier. 30-35 degree slope. Did not get a pic. 40-50ft wide. Enough to bury if in the wrong spot. Heavily wind loaded slope, thought to normally be packed down hard. Wrong! Suggest staying slightly lookers left of the lowest point while ascending this area in the future.
