Weather

cloudy AM skies with intermittent snow showers gave way to clearing skies by mid-afternoon. sporadic winds to 5-10 mph with gusts to 15 mph near ridgeline. morning temps in single digits, climbing to 20 F by mid day. approx 1" new snow in last 12 hours / approx 8" in past 24.

Snowpack

dug pit on sheltered 35° E aspect @ 9950 feet BTL. HS 170 cm. one CTH (24) PC @ 20 cm down on thin melt/freeze layer. one ECTX. continued reefing on our ECT column yielded a propogation at 90 cm down.

Avalanche

no whoomphs or cracking observed. noticed one small skier-triggered slide, appeard to be from day prior. approx 25' wide, maybe 6" in depth (pic attached).
