-11c few clouds no precip L winds at the trailhead at 0900. -14c -OVC S-1 L winds at 1200 at 10800' NE aspect. -OVC S1 L-M wind at 1230 1100' E aspect.
Snowpack
HS 220cm 10300' E aspect 35d slope, open area below treeline. 30cm new snow over a sun crust. no obvious faceting above or below the crust, I didn't do any stability test though. we didnt ski this slope. HS 250cm 10800' NE aspect in an open area, as low as 30cm in the trees within 10m, heavily wind loaded. no obvious crust layer in the upper snowpack. HS145cm 1100' E aspect, intermittent crust below new snow. Thin (generally 2-4cm but up to 15 in one isolated spot) reactive wind effected layer developing though the morning in all the areas we skied through.
