Up to treeline there were West to Northwest winds, mostly light to moderate with occasional strong gusts. Above treeline West winds were consistently moderate to strong, with trace amounts of snow transport occurring. Cloud cover was very transparent throughout the day and progressed from overcast to scattered.
Snowpack
I dug a ~280cm (my probe is 270cm, but I hit ground) pit at the upper edge of treeline on a E facing slope. Underneath pen hard rounds was a layer 47cm to 85cm deep that went from 1F down to F which was mostly rounds and a bit of a mixed form, maybe rounded facets. ECTX and CTN. Above treeline I occasionally probed for snow depths, which stayed 150cm-200cm until the snowpack thinned to bare ground over the last ~300 feet going towards the ridge. North through West to Southwest slopes well above treeline, near ridges and peaks, were completely wind scoured. Northeast to East slopes below the ridge had 0.5-1ft tall stratugi.
