Scattered skies, light to moderate SW winds, ambient temperature was likely mid-twenties but felt colder with windchill
Snowpack
On a South facing slope BTL, the snow depth was 164cm. The surface was mostly comprised of near-surface facets, just above a thicker melt-freeze crust (a result of radiation recrystallization). Below this crust was a few inches of fist hard snow that fell on 2/14, which sat on top of another melt-freeze crust. Another thin melt form layer was found about 35cm down. Q1 shears occurred at each of these melt form layers during our CT, but there was no propagation at these layers during our ECT.
