A lovely weekend to be out Lovely 3 days over Matariki weekend 10/7 - 12/7 touring out of top hut. Most areas are below threshold with isolated areas mainly from wind loading above threshold. NW half had the most snow from wind loading. Wind slab pockets tested were seemed well bonded to lower layers. NW half has had sun effect to around 1800m. another 2cm Crust 5cm down on sun effected aspects. Surface hore found at all elevations and aspects that have not been sun effected. No avalanche activity observed
