Weather
Snowing one to two inches an our for most of the trip. Southwest winds were drifting new snow but not strong enough to erode the snow surface near and below treeline.
Snowpack
Very few obvious signs of instability seen near and below treeline. Shooting cracks were limited to directly around my skis and infrequent at best. Test slopes with no consequence produced no avalanching or shooting cracks. Visibility was very poor so this was only a very small sample of the terrain. Extended column tests produced similar results at the new/old interface on northeast through southerly aspects, ECTP 9-11.
