Pushed up McGill shoulder for a day at the gun barrels. Dug a pit at 1975m. At that time the sun came out and it got very hot. Coupled with that and our pit results, we cut lower on the shoulder and didn’t go to the top. Skied denser trees on the steeper bits but to open trees in the main part of the gun barrel. Skiing was good, with strong solar affect starting at 11:45. 40cms ish of fresh on top of more consolidated snow. Some smaller shooting cracks on steeper pitch’s. No other activity observed.

Dug a profile @1975 m McGill shoulder, just at edge of tree line. S/SW aspect. Wind calm, sky broken, precip nil. 23 degree incline. Went to check new storm snow reactivity and check in on our sweet freind the DP. Pit height sat at 150cms. 150-117 was f-4f and F layer consisted of rimed up pp’s. 117 to 101 was 1f, looked like decomposing fragments. Past 101 it changed to 1f, looked like/suspected rounds. We had some failures on this interface, with some decomposing SH found, 2-6cms in size. As for results CTE10, RP, down 23. CTM 20, SC, down 51 Second test: CTE10, break, down 23cms. CTH21, SP, down 51. Decomposing SH seen here. CTH26, RP, down 135. Deep tap test yielded no results. DTN. ECTH, 23, SP, down 51. On SH it seemed.
