Warm with a mix of high clouds and sun. Thin layer stratus clouds kept temperatures from climbing too far above freezing.
Snowpack
This area benefited from abundant snowfall during February. Snow depths vary from 1.5 meters on sunny slopes up to 2.5 meters plus on shady slopes. No cracking or collapsing on S-E-NE aspects near and below treeline. Thin sun crust forming on southerly slopes. Observed numerous loose dry sluffing out of steeper terrain due to warming snow surface from the sun. Can definitely start to feel the effects of higher sun angles this time of year. PWLs in the top meter of snowpits non-reactive in long column test and rounding. Compression test still highlighting these layers with Q2 shears. A couple slopes in this area slid again during the last storm cycle but size and width of propagation much less than earlier in February.
