Weather

Snowfall eased as the morning began and skies tried to clear, but snow kicked back in heavy at times (2"/hr) in the early afternoon. Temperatures were in the 20s with light SW winds. 12" of new snow this morning with 1.3" of water content. Storm total 28"/3.1".

Snowpack

Significant settlement in the high density new snow. Ski penetration was in the 10-20cm range. Some isolated minor collapsing has been observed the last two days. No other signs of instability.

Avalanche

Visibility was quite poor. Observed activity was limited to small loose snow and shallow storm slabs (D1).
