Weather

Sunny, low wind, NNE aspect, 11,900 ft.

Snowpack

~4-5 inches new snow sitting on old snow surface. In the sun, new snow was saturating quickly and becoming wet and grabby.

Avalanche

Wet slide released in Z Chute, looked to be from a skier. Only new snow slid, but went nearly full-width across the chute. Continued until the angle eased off and looked like it came to a stop fairly quickly. Didn't witness slide. Ski tracks cut to the side and through a rocky bit over to X Chute. Tried skiing on the bed surface, but it too was very wet by ~10:30, so I also decided to cut over to X Chute.
