HS 215cm Crown depth was 18cm new storm snow (F hardness), 27cm (4f hardness). Bed surface was a MF crust. There were 3 MF crusts in about 10cm, with partially decomposed dendrites between. Hard to tell if it initially failed above top crust, or in one of the intercrust layers. Skier was 2nd on slope, first to ski steeper part of slope. Triggered at a 40deg rollover, quickly skied diagonally to tree cluster and held on. Was fine and not buried at all. Very soft slab. W facing aspects, which we mostly skied, seemed to have bonded better, but this steep S facing slope was the isolated aspect/angle in the area with a solid MF crust. Very cold temps had prevented W and SW facing from forming sun crusts.
