Toured from top of Standish - high winds had us bail on our Twin Cairns traverse. We decided to check out some chutes we had noticed to skier’s left of the Dinosaure Head area and across from Y drainage. Ski cut some slab near the entrance of the chute we nicknamed Slabby’s Not Happy, which quickly caused a Sz1 loose dry to run the length of the chute (which we were expecting). Skied down to Healy then up into the alpine where the winds really picked up and the wind slab was becoming reactive around 2300m at 2pm. We kept it low angle. Noticed a very recent size 1 slab, E facing, 2380m or so (see pic 2) near the ridge leading up to Healy Centre peak. Came down a treed drainage. No other sign of instabilities noted during the day. I would expect things to get more touchy when the winds pick up again and the storm rolls in ... lots of tree bombs BTL to keep an eye out also today. HS ranged between 135-160cm.
