Rode into beaver creek today. Found some avalanches on leeward slopes, some under cornices. Nothing appeared to be new though. Very wind blown riding, only snow was found in the sheltered trees. Dug a pit at 1400m elevation on a 32 degree north east facing slope, shaded most of the day by trees. Two distinct layers at 50cm down and 75cm. The deeper layer was less dense than the surrounding snow but other than that, the snow was very much right side up for hardness. Both layers reacted on CTH21. Too cold for pictures, phone died when I tried.
