Well consolidated base with 6-8 inches of loose new snow. Snow on the ridge was not wet at all.
Avalanche
I triggered a small slide from the ridge very close to the summit on an east/southeast aspect. I traversed just below the ridge crest using solid rock to do a secure hand traverse while having my feet in fluffy snow from the recent storm. I felt some settling and then noticed a small slide below me. The crown was not at my feet, but maybe 20 feet below me. The avy ran for maybe 200 feet.
