Weather

Mild evening followed by mild day. Winds picked up during the day; backed WNW-W-SW. Gusty, even in valleys. Clouds also increased, with high thin cirrus to the west by mid afternoon.

Snowpack

Shallow, with pronounced wind and sun effects on all but the most sheltered slopes. Very little dry snow below ~9800 feet.

Avalanche

Many old crowns, on small and large start zones. D2-2.5, maybe 1-2 D3. Most near and above tree line, most aspects, including sunny. Debris mostly covered in snow. Some blocks still visible.
