On Friday the 27th, light to moderate snow and very strong SW winds. Periods of intense wind loading. Snow continued overnight. Mostly clear skies on the 28th with increasing clouds as the afternoon progressed. Storm total of 6-8" of very low density snow, 4-5%
Snowpack
No signs of instability in the low density new snow. Triggered avalanche activity was limited to harmless sluffing. Sunny skies early and warm temperatures were enough to form melt freeze crusts on E-S-W aspects below treeline. Northerly aspects were not exempt and some M/F crusts formed there as well.

No fresh avalanche activity was observed along the highway corridor.
