Weather
Clouds began clearing mid day. About 4" new snow in North routt. Temps a few degrees below freezing but as clouds moved out things got toasty.
Snowpack
Quick pit on SSW aspect, 10500ft. CTM down 45cm above a stout melt freeze crust. ECTP 28 on that same layer. Hasty pit on a NNW aspect around 8500ft had CTM down 20cm on old temp crust but was pretty low quality shear. Was surprised by the propagation on southerly slopes. Future wetting of the snow will certainly see movement on the 45cm down layer. No indication of perc tubes thru the layer.
