Weather
Partly cloudy with mostly intense sunlight after about 9:30am. Warming temperatures through the morning at Emerald Lake and Dragon's Tail (~12,000ft.) Southeast Aspect took sun all morning.
Snowpack
Upon arrival, snowpack was supportive when bootpacking with a firm surface. Icy conditions from the previous night's freeze. As we ascended up, the snow warmed and upon dropping in was prone to wet sluff. If we waited any longer, snow conditions would have been marginal.
Avalanche
The wind slab on Dragon's Trail slid the day prior, allowing us to ski the next day. Photographs include the slide path at large, and the ~1 foot crown from the wind slab.
