Weather

Elevation: 10,040 Aspect: NNW Sky: OVC Precip: S-1 HS: 102cm T_air: -11.6C Boot/ski pen: 30/10 Wind: C Weather was constantly changing throughout day. Wind was calm at time of obs, but varied between calm and moderate (from the south) and precip rates ranged from NO to S2. Intense blowing snow could be seen at the Montgomery bowls, loading easterly slopes.

Snowpack

Overall a fairly strong snowpack. I was unable to get propagation in any of my ECT's, but the fracture initiation is there (CT21 RP @ 83 cm). Profile showed that the snowpack is slowly healing as the facets are rounding over time. Pit was dug at 10,040', NNW aspect, 6deg slope, just east of Montgomery pass parking lot.
