Cold and clear. Mostly calm, but could see some snow moving in the alpine from moderate northwest winds
Snowpack
4 to 5 inches of new snow in the last 24 hours. Obvious signs of instability to continue to wane, but the process is very slow. Slabs are eroding but still intact as you move through the upper below treeline zone and into near treeline. The slabs will remain cohesive enough to propagate failures for the foreseeable future in all but the lowest elevation with continuous snow cover.
Avalanche
We viewed a couple of fresh avalanches breaking on the Dec 11 from a distance on east-facing slopes above Anthracite Creek.
