Weather

Sunny, and warm, but hazy.

Snowpack

Recent mild weather and ample sun have eroded the volume out of south facing path along the corridor, but shadier slopes continue to hold enough volume to reach the highway. Most paths have an isothermal snowpack with exception to the paths near the Ophir turn. The snowpack in the greater LHP region is becoming increasingly dusty, especially at lower elevations, but a general pink glow pervades on all aspects and elevations.

Avalanche

I saw a few R1D1 wet loose slides on westerly terrain near treeline above Rico today. I am not sure when they ran. It looked like the recent snow "sheeting" off the old firm dusty surface. Maybe a preview of coming attractions.
