Snowpack

North aspect there was about 5 to 10cm of fresh wind slab but only very close to ridgelines. We had once huge collapse on a westerly slope but it was in an area of Willows. I dug on a NW aspect and the snowpack was stronger than I expected but we did get sudden planar results 55cm down from the surface. This is the layer that has been failing recently. On a SE aspect close to 12000ft (NTL) we found weak snow with a firm crust which was vairably supportive a had some other thing crusts below. The top 25cm failed on isolation on facets. Further down was faceted to about 100cm. There were perc columns in the lower snowpack.
