Weather

Sunny and mostly clear following the storm yesterday. Winds were increasing from the west southwest and transporting snow below and above tree line.

Snowpack

10 inches of new snow with 0.95 inches of water on top of old facets with current wind loading from the WSW.

Avalanche

Two small avalanches noticed above Monarch Pass appear to have occurred earlier in the day. I saw ski tracks on the ridge with binoculars that may have triggered the slide but no tracks appear to enter or exit the slide path.
