Warm temperatures, almost no wind and brief periods of sunshine made the day feel hot, even at 11,600 feet. Light snow and graupel showers accompanied most of the convective cells as they passed over with little to no accumulation.

Snowpack

The 4/16 facet layer is unreactive after the past few days of mild temperatures. The entire snowpack has become moist and the persistent weak layer in the basal depth hoar we have been monitoring is steadily gaining strength as well, no results could be coerced on the southwest aspect and only inconsistent hard propagating failures 60 centimeters from the groundon the east aspect. The late March storms are becoming one 20-30 centimeter thick supportable crust that water appears to have been flowing freely through for several days and working through to the depth hoar.
