Warm temperatures and clear skies, winds were not strong enough to drift snow
Snowpack
The snow surface is covered in 2-4 millimeter surface hoar on northerly aspects and sun protected slopes. The snowpack depth ranges between 1 to 1.5 meters. The past week of cold and clear conditions has weakened the upper snowpack, faceting down 25 to 30 centimeters from the surface. An obvious layer of buried surface facets and surface hoar can be seen 35-40 cm from the surface, Extended Column tests produce moderate results with inconsistent propagation on this layer. The mid and lower snowpack is mostly homogenous, well bonded rounds down to a few centimeters of rounding depth hoar at the base
Avalanche
Previously reported (11/28)avalanche, northwest of Treasure Mountain. A steep, unsupported terrain feature. The avalanche released on a layer of buried surface hoar and facets 35 centimeters from the surface.
